Yumi’s birthday is on January 30th.  She’ll be 33.  I thought it would be fun if we could get our forum members to write out their Birthday wishes on a group card.  I’ll post it on behalf of the forum on their MySpace and Official Site. The publicity people who run those sites might actually show Yumi something like that.

If you want to have your name on the group card here’s what you do:

First write out a message of no more than 40 words along with what name you want signed.  It would be nice if you included your city or state.

Then either post the text here or (if you want that special touch) write it out by hand and post or email me a copy.  Please use a white background.

I’ll put all the wishes on the group card.  Cool huh?

Here were some ideas for the card design:

If we can get enough people from different places we could make a map and put each person’s B-day wishes over their city or state.  We could also then do an interactive web card where the person (Yumi even?) could click on each region to see the wishes.

Well that’s one idea anyway.  Let me know if you have something else.

Jeff: What's the last day for this?  Would be good to have a deadline.

I'll try to get a rough draft done on Sunday (no Colts game to watch... argggg!) and try to finish it up by the 21st or 22nd.  I got PhotoShop for Christmas so I'm still trying to figure it out.  So far I'm thinking of a map of the US as the background with some birthday theme stuff like candles and a cake.  Over this I'll put on all the written wishes.   I think I'll also include all of our forum member's names near the bottom in smaller font.

Where did you get the Japanese?  Is that actually right?  I mean is that the way it's written?

I'll adjust all the message sizes to make them fit.  I typed in the Japanese myself to say "Otanjoubi omedetou" which is a common way to say happy birthday.
